Our 2016 Surfboard & SUP range has been refined & re-designed, and we are excited to be adding two kayaks in recreational, angling and rescue versions into our watercraft line-up.
We believe that the addition of WaveJet Technology to the kayak market will provide customers with an advantage that traditional electric outboard motors simply can’t compete with!
In the late 1990s, Mike Railey tried his hand at tow-in surfing. He loved the new sport but not the hassle of renting or buying a Jetski to tow him into the waves.
Powered boards had been around since the 60s but had always been too heavy for any kind of real performance. Mike believed he had a better solution and began experimenting with lightweight propulsion in ordinary surfboards. He created numerous prototypes and applied for a patent that was published in 2007.
Mike continued experimenting and refining the technology. In 2011, Mike got his third patent and also has three new patents in the works.
Since then, WaveJet has been tested by top surfers, industry leaders and Lifeguard Organizations nationwide and has gotten rave reviews. WaveJet launched in SUP’s, surfboards and bodyboards in 2012 and then kayaks in 2013, and other products are in the lineup. WaveJet is poised to revolutionize Personal Watercrafts of all kinds.
